After you watch this NEA horrible video attack on family values...remember to ask your teacher if they support NEA

Ask your teacher how she can support such hateful cursing of Americans who choose the faith of their fathers over social progressive politics.
Half the people in the last election were not for Obama and the NEA program for America. That means that you are slandering the parents of half the kids in your class. Oklahoma should ban the NEA from political and union organizing in this state.

MSNBC plays victum

The cable network that profited from the fantastic advertising revenues of "Imus in the Morning" on MSNBC has been playing like they were victimized. They are preoccupied with flagrant name calling aimed at our President and conservatives in general. MSNBC needs to apologize and be punished in the same way that Imus was.
I suggest that the hosts on the tiny cable network be forced to watch their nemesis Fox News for 2 weeks.

Here are a couple of my creations

." People of the Dirt" is my entry in the 100 poem
publication that the society is producing to honor the 100th Anniversary of our state
next year. " Setting on my Ass" is just one of my contributions to the my feelings that language is just language and has no morality of it's own. We have to teach our
children which are the "bad" words and the whole thing becomes futile.
Jimmie Dale Martin, 2006/04/12 .

Setting on my ass

People say raising mules is outa date
That that racing horses is the thing of late
and the world is fast passing me by
some even say I donĂ‚’t care or even try
and tho the equestrian thing is higher class
for now I'll just set here on my ass

People of the dirt

When the Christians came to Oklahoma Jesus was already here

He was with all Adams race everywhere whether far or near

The Amerindians universally called Him the "Great Spirit"

His words of truth are found in all our tribes and very explicit

Love and truth and honor and family are woven thruout the land

faith and hope and charity, respect for the creator's firm hand

Adam means red man and Oklahoma means land of the red man

In Oklahoma we are blessed with direct word links to His plan

We are people of the dirt...tried by storm's wind and dust's sting

We endure the good and the bad and always know who is King

From the Arbuckles hilly ranges to the Panhandles desolation

We are red and white and black patriots...first to defend the nation

The proud Thunderbird our fighting symbol... the red bird, the Phoenix

We rise from our ashes and build anew after bombs blast

When F5 comes our way we dig in and battle it to the last

We are Okies whose grandparents waited out the wrath of dust

and fermented our grapes into the fine wine of our common trust

Hospitality is our middle name and love is our girt

We are common folk ...people of the dirt.

Mike McCarville...ole Mike...a political legend

Mike's Picture at the KTOK Mike from Oklahoma Blood Institute
There was a day when I was a frequent caller to Mike's show. I had worked at KTOK 30 years ago and then in the 80's co-hosted a talk show on KQCV on Saturdays for ten years. I hosted an AFRTS TV and Radio Simalcast on Midway Island in 1962-63 while in the US Navy. It is interesting that several conservative bloggers in Oklahoma City share a similar background in radio. Mark Shannon, The Gorilla and Ole Mike (links available on ViewsOk.com) were full time professional talk show hosts while I was a part timer but we have roots grounded in live reaction to our words and opinions from listeners who were (at least before Caller ID) mostly anonymous to us while they knew exactly where we were!

Charlie Rangel...the man to watch

Charlie Rangel is his own man...a patriot and honored war hero..a man that once called President Clinton a "Redneck" and pragmatic in his concern for his district in the funding game. He will be a forceful and dynamic Chair of House Ways and Means. Look for a universal draft (the Blogmaster is in favor of the draft as Rangel has purposed)as a possibility. His bio follows:
Charles Bernard Rangel (born June 11, 1930) is an American politician. He has been a Democratic member of the United States House of Representatives since 1971, representing the Fifteenth Congressional District of New York (map) Rangel's district, the smallest in the country in geographic size, encompasses Upper Manhattan and includes such neighborhoods as Harlem, Spanish Harlem, Washington Heights, Inwood, and part of the Upper West Side. In January 2007 he became Chairman of the powerful House Ways and Means Committee. Rangel is a decorated war veteran, earning a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star for his service in the Korean War.

A full quiver...

This caught my eye on national TV and I looked in to it. Amazing that in just a few generations people now laugh at the idea of husband/fathers as the leader of the family. If you are a believing Christian take a long hard look at this couple's ideas. Buy the book!

A Full Quiver
Family Planning and the Lordship of Christ
Rick and Jan Hess

How many children are too many? How many are enough? How far should you space them out? When should you call it quits? How can you afford more children? What does the Bible say about the issues of birth control and family planning? In answering these and many other relevant questions, Rick and Jan Hess use a common sense approach, lots of humor and lots of Scripture to show God's control of conception and His amazing plans for your children.
